Waiting...

OK, so I've learned that I'm not going to handle the waiting very well.  We sent our initial payment on Monday and spent three days waiting for confirmation that it was received on the other end.  I was a bit of a crazy woman, stalking my email, worrying that something went wrong with the wire, and just generally driving Mike nuts.  This does not bode well for my sanity for the rest of this journey.

Waiting is the name of the game.  Now I am waiting for the embryos to ship.  Next week I'll be waiting for the embryos to reach India.  Then I'll be waiting for the paperwork...then the transfer...then the results of the pregnancy test...and on and on and on.  Waiting, waiting, waiting for the next step, and next scan, and next milestone.  I never realized I was this impatient.

  2. One thing I learnt very quickly in this journey was that everything was totally out of my control. This brought a degree of patience with it, but more acceptance that my worry/stress would not change a single thing! Good luck!

  3. Hi Maggie. I totally understand what you mean by the waiting and feeling impatient. None of us would go through the surrogacy journey if we had another way to make a family. Having said that ever since we started, the incredible hope that this process has given us is doing wonders! I really hope you hear good news soon because you deserve it!

  4. Oh yeah...I hear you! We have just started out with finalising our ED yesterday and we too are stalking emails and blogs and forums and who knows what else! This doesn't bode well for my sanity later on :S Maybe we can just go mad together :)
